Many Glacier HotelGrinnell Point rises over Swiftcurrent Lake on a stormy morning in Glacier National Park. On this morning we had set out at 3:00 in the morning to image the sunrise  over the river close to here, only to be washed out by a large storm that came in and settled over this area. 

Many people consider this area the heart of the park. Massive mountains, active glaciers, sparkling lakes, hiking trails, and abundant wildlife make this a favorite of visitors and locals alike. Many Glacier is also a destination where one can travel by car, foot, boat, or horseback, to get a close look at glaciers and see their impact on the landscape.

Built by the Great Northern Railway in 1914-15, Many Glacier Hotel is situated on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake inside Glacier National Park.This impressive Hotel makes for a great portal into this part of the Park.
